Profile

Gerry is a solicitor in private practice and Managing Partner in one of Scotland’s largest criminal defence firms. Since 1992, Gerry has specialised in the field of criminal law, with extensive experience in the operation of the criminal courts and the wider criminal justice system.

Committed to access to justice, Gerry has previously served as a Board Member of the Scottish Criminal Cases Review Commission, the national body responsible for reviewing criminal cases where there may have been a miscarriage of justice. He was also previously appointed to the first Board of Community Justice Scotland, the national organisation which works to promote world-leading community justice solutions across Scotland. Gerry is also a former Dean of the Faculty of West Lothian Solicitors.
