Friday, Jun 21, 2019
The Children’s Hearings Duty Plans to cover 24 June to 28 July 2019 are now available.
These are temporary plans as we are reviewing the format and seeking views on this from the Law Society of Scotland. When the new format is finalised, we will issue a further update with the full plans.
Please check the dates that your firm has been allocated during this period.
If you have been allocated dates which you are unable to cover, you must inform us by as soon as possible to allow us to make alternative arrangements.
Unless we receive notification that your firm is unable to provide cover on a specified date(s), we will expect your firm to provide cover on the dates allocated to you.
These may include bank, public and local holidays. If you subsequently become aware of any reason you will not be able to provide cover please ensure you tell us as soon as possible.
For details of the statutory provisions relating to the children’s duty scheme and information on the current payment arrangements for duty scheme solicitors, please see the eligibility criteria.
