Update and Q&A on the consultation on the draft Criminal Code of Practice

After receiving a request from the Law Society of Scotland, we have extended the consultation period to 5pm on Tuesday 18 April 2017.

Although 27 responses have been received so far, it is hoped that this extra time will allow consultees to consider both the draft Code and some of the key questions you may have.

We thought it would also be helpful to take this opportunity to clarify some points and have prepared the following Q&A for that purpose:
