We are currently recruiting for a research officer, experienced in working in the field of social or market research, to contribute to the delivery of SLAB’s research programme, which assists the organisation in delivering its mission and strategic objectives.

As a member of our established research function, you will assist the organisation with delivering qualitative and quantitative research projects, carrying out or managing all stages from inception and specification to fieldwork to analysis and report writing. You will work on a variety of projects at any one time, in addition to supporting teams across SLAB with advice on their research needs.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced criminal defence solicitor within our Inverness office to manage criminal cases at all levels with, a focus on duty solicitor work both at courts and police stations. This is a 12 month contract with an opportunity of further extension.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled, driven and self-motivated solicitor with demonstrable presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade others, verbally and in writing.
You should have sound judgmental skills and be able to evaluate information and courses of action to reach logical and objective decisions about what is most likely to lead to the desired results. You should also have good planning and organising skills to be able to achieve results in a qualitative, timely and cost-effective way. Be able to set priorities and plan the efficient use of resources in order to monitor progress against objectives.
