Response to A&A and ABWOR consultation published

In September 2023, we consulted on our policies on advice and assistance (A&A) and assistance by way of representation (ABWOR).

We were keen to use this exercise to gain insight into any concerns the profession had with our current policies, including any unanticipated consequences, as well as suggestions for changes that we could consider in future.

We were also looking to gather information on any possible impacts for equality groups which should be considered.

We received three responses to the written consultation.

We have now published our response to the consultation.

This outlines respondents’ views, sets out our position on the issues raised and identifies how we are taking forward key actions.

We will be working on detailed guidance for publication in the coming months.
