We have scheduled the implementation of Start and Stop times on Legal Aid Online for Civil and Children’s accounts for 17 December.
This will be the mandatory date for providing start and stop times within your time-based work items There are no changes for Criminal.
Webinars have been arranged for the dates listed below.
These will demonstrate the system change and how this will work with the time-based work items before and after the mandatory implementation date.
Details of how to join the webinars will be given on the banner when you log into LAOL.
Participants from our accounts team will be available at the webinar sessions to help answer any non-system related questions.
Following our initial communication on 7 August 2024 we issued a further update on 25 September 2024 after receiving some enquiries.
The update provides information on the upcoming changes to the Legal Aid Online accounts system to require start and stop times for only time-based work entries in Civil and Children’s accounts.
The change harmonises the accounts system across all aid types.
It will improve the information that is recorded by bringing Civil and Children’s legal assistance broadly into line with the system as it operates for Criminal legal assistance.
