Following requests, we discussed with SPS the possibility of making three-way video conference calls (solicitor, Advocate and prisoner) on the Agents to Prisons’ link.
Attempts to make three-way calls were tested but were unsuccessful.
Due to the current circumstances SPS are unable to investigate this further at present.
We will keep you updated with any further information/timescales from SPS.
A possible option until SPS have time to look into three-way VC further is for one party to dial in by video link to the prison and then phone the other party putting them on speakerphone.
The call could be a video call to let the client see who is also on the call.
