Moderation Committee Subject Specialist Members

We are looking to recruit additional members with substantial experience (ideally seven years) of housing, welfare benefits and debt/money advice to our Moderation Committee. 

As a subject specialist your primary role will be to advise on the accuracy of peer review reports in your subject (housing, welfare benefits or debt/money) and to work with your fellow Committee members to moderate the marks awarded to each agency. 

We are looking for people who are confident in their subject knowledge and able to acknowledge and respect the expertise of their fellow Committee members. Along with your knowledge and experience of housing, welfare benefits or debt/money advice we need your interpersonal skills, your ability to work constructively in a committee environment and your pragmatism.   

Members attend quarterly half-day morning meetings in Edinburgh and the initial period of appointment for these posts is until November 2019. 

This work is unpaid, but all reasonable out-of-pocket expenses will be reimbursed.
