Reconsideration of approval application refusals or approval part grants

There is no statutory or regulatory requirement for us to reconsider an approval application we have refused or part granted. However, we will consider one review of the initial refusal or part grant, if you are responding to the stated reasons we gave for the decision to refuse or part grant.  After that, unless there are new issues raised, we will not further consider the approval application.

This applies to approval applications for:

  • counsel
  • expert witnesses
  • unusual work
  • unusually large expenditure.
