Procedure for withdrawing from giving advice and assistance

If you wish to stop giving advice and assistance to your client you must:

  • Give us notice of your withdrawal and your reasons for withdrawing
  • Explain to your client that they must get our permission before receiving advice and assistance on the same subject matter from another solicitor [Regulation 13 Advice and Assistance (Scotland) Regulations 1996].
