Other proceedings for which children’s legal aid is NOT available

Children’s legal aid is not available for any related:

  • petitions for judicial review
  • petitions to the Nobile Officium
  • proceedings before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council and Supreme Court.

Civil legal aid is available for these proceedings. Where special urgency arises, regulation 18 of the Civil Legal Aid (Scotland) Regulations 2002 will apply and not regulation 18 of the Children’s Legal Assistance (Scotland) Regulations 2013.
