In longer running cases where funding requests are being made beyond the standard limits, we may decide to monitor the progress of the case. This monitoring could include asking you to provide regular updates on progress in the case and details of the steps or work needed to bring matters to conclusion.
If there is more than one legally aided party involved, we will look at all the relevant grants of civil legal aid before we decide upon any requests for additional funding. This will allow us to consider the overall public funding available for the case and whether all the grants of civil legal aid remain appropriate and proportionate.
