General scope of children’s legal aid for 2011 Act Cases

This chapter concerns the provisions for legal aid in connection with certain proceedings laid down in the Children’s Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011. These proceedings can take place in the sheriff court, Sheriff Appeal Court and the Court of Session. They concern cases that have arisen from or that are connected to children’s panel proceedings. This type of legal aid is commonly known as children’s legal aid and is available to both children and certain adults.
