This is a fee that is prescribed in relation to advice and assistance accounts only.

The general principle is that a framing charge should be allowed based on the final version of the document.

You are not ordinarily entitled to any time or revisal charges that have been made to any “draft” document. This is consistent with general taxation practice in agent and client, third party paying accounts and was upheld by the Auditor of Dumbarton Sheriff Court in 2009, in the taxation of the account of WC.

Mindful of that, charges for engrossing will be challenged.
