In sheriff court block fee proceedings [Schedule 6 of the Civil Legal Aid (Scotland) (Fees) Regulations 1989], we require that:
We will tell you the outcome or ask for further information, within 28 days of receiving the application.
If granted, we will write to you showing the additional fee percentage. If this is before you have sent us your account, send us a copy of this confirmatory letter with your account.
If we reject the application you can seek a review of the decision. We will consider the review application within 28 days.
This procedure also applies for proceedings in the Sheriff Appeal Court where fees are claimed under Schedule 6.
