Changes in financial circumstances

We have the power to attach standard conditions to all our grants of solemn criminal legal aid. Each grant is conditional on your client telling us about any material change in their financial circumstances during the lifetime of the case.

Currently, we need to know if their annual income and/or capital increases by more than £750. If the material changes mean the client is no longer eligible to continue to receive solemn legal aid, we will terminate the grant from the date of the change.
