GAMH Money and Debt Project

People with mental health problems across Glasgow and their carers receive face-to-face advice to avoid and tackle debt. Home visits form part of this project.

CEMVO - Inclusive Money Programme This programme seeks to raise awareness of money advice amongst ethnic minority (EM) communities in Glasgow. It also seeks to extend the reach of money advice related services provided by both the ethnic minority third sector and mainstream advice providers in Glasgow.

Children 1st with Govan Law Centre – Tackling Money Worries Families in the South of Glasgow, with a child under 8 and who are ‘just coping’ financially, can obtain expert legal advice and representation on any debt problems and, support to help them become more financially resilient in the future. The service provides specialist debt advice, court representation and education sessions on debt awareness.

Castlemilk Law Centre - Housing Debt and Money Advice Project The project solicitor covers south east Glasgow and provides a service from existing law centre offices in Castlemilk, Crosshill and the Gorbals and outreach in CAB offices and helps clients at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

This national project helps people who are affected by debt and connected welfare benefit changes. DAS  accredited advisers are able to help people with complex debt issues

Deaf Action Money Advice Project

People with hearing difficulties across Scotland receive debt and money advice via PC and Webcam using BSL. Face-to-face advice is available to people with hearing difficulties in Edinburgh, East Lothian, Midlothian and West Lothian.

Parkhead CAB – Integrated Debt advice and Support Hub: HMP Barlinnie Families with a relative entering or leaving HMP Barlinnie can receive short-term help to stabile the family finances and resolve any crisis debt matters, and also long-term support and advice on budgeting and financial planning through group and one to one sessions.
