Home Start Aberdeen Money Advice Project

Advice and assistance on debt and money management is provided to families experiencing the birth or early years of a child. After care support is also be provided to ensure families continue to sustain the improvements in their finances. The project can also carry out home visits/assessments to create a full picture of the factors impacting the financial situation.

Stepchange - Debt Advice and Welfare Reform Project

This national project helps people who are affected by debt and connected welfare benefit changes. DAS  accredited advisers are able to help people with complex debt issues

Deaf Action Money Advice Project

People with hearing difficulties across Scotland receive debt and money advice via PC and Webcam using BSL. Face-to-face advice is available to people with hearing difficulties in Edinburgh, East Lothian, Midlothian and West Lothian.

Parkhead CAB – Integrated Debt advice and Support Hub: HMP Barlinnie Families with a relative entering or leaving HMP Barlinnie can receive short-term help to stabile the family finances and resolve any crisis debt matters, and also long-term support and advice on budgeting and financial planning through group and one to one sessions.

Shelter (with Families Outside) – Grampian Prison Tackling Money Worries Project Targeted outreach is offered to families of prisoners of HMP Grampian, who reside in Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire and Moray. Advisors work with families to determine the full picture of their financial circumstances and provide advice and assistance to resolve debt and improve the family’s financial position.
