Children’s Quality Assurance Scheme set to launch

Peer reviews of children’s legal assistance files will be starting in late September 2017. 

All children’s solicitors will generally be reviewed once every six years. Where necessary further reviews may have to be carried out, including extended, final and special reviews.

There is information about the setting up of the scheme on the Children’s Quality Assurance page of our website. It also includes membership details of the Children's Quality Assurance Committee (CQAC) and a list of the peer reviewers.

The CQAC will be communicating regularly with solicitors on the implementation of the quality assurance scheme. 

We will issue regular updates to highlight the issues identified in reviews and areas of good practice the reviews will undoubtedly identify.
