Performance Auditor for SNSIAP appointed

Tuesday, Nov 15, 2016

Alan Haddow has joined SLAB’s Internal Audit department as the Performance Auditor for the Scottish National Standards for Information and Advice Providers (SNSIAP).

In this role he will be contributing to the development and delivery of audits as part of the new accreditation model for the SNSIAP.

Alan will also be responsible for carrying out the initial audit and site visits (where appropriate) of advice providers, taking account of their submitted self assessment and application forms and then evaluating how they will meet the SNSIAP requirements. Support will then be provided if required on the organisations own assessment of areas for future development and improvement.

Alan has over 25 years of public service experience, having previously been employed by Lothian Regional Council, Lothian and Borders Police and the Scottish Legal Aid Board. He brings considerable expertise in the areas of compliance and external/internal audit.

Should you have any queries or require any further information or guidance with regards to the audit process you can contact Alan at AdviceAudit@slab.org.uk or telephone 0131 240 1997.

For all other queries regarding the accreditation process, including peer review, please email SNSIAP@slab.org.uk or telephone Sarah Hamer, Policy Development Officer, on 0131 240 2177.
