Doing business with the Board

INVITATION TO TENDER FOR THE PROVISION OF: PENETRATION TESTING OF I.S. SYSTEMS

The Scottish Legal Aid Board is seeking expressions of interest from companies capable of providing an annual review of our external network services for our premises at 38 - 44 Drumsheugh Gardens, Edinburgh.  

GENERAL INFORMATION

Interested parties may request our “Pre Qualification Questionnaire” via e mail from younged@slab.org.uk.  The information provided will allow the Board to evaluate offers of participation and provide a short list for our restricted procedure.

We envisage six participants in the tender process.

Objective Criteria      - Sufficient participants to create a competition

Award Criteria           - Most economically advantageous tender in terms of criteria set out in the specification

Closing date             - Monday 6th October 2008 @ 12 Noon (Notes of interest)

Brief description of scope of work

This programme will examine the extent to which the risks and exposures of providing access to our systems to potentially a large community of users have been minimised. It is intended that this review be conducted as external penetration testing from a remote location on an annual basis with monthly scanning to monitor traffic and security through our IP addresses ranges and firewalls. Reporting of findings and retesting as required will form part of the contract.
